As i had so much free time in my hands, i did a lot of readings online and see some disturbing problems back home.

I am a PAP supporter for my GRC back home as i thought LBY and Lily Neo had done some wonderful job during the years but i am absolutely disgusted by PAP's antics post elections (whats new?)

The biggest shock comes in the increasing of cab fares, and peak hrs nows cost $2 more. wtf? And before anyone thinks that its the cabbies who lobbied for the increase, they did not know a thing until they saw the news (trust me, my uncle is a cabbie, and he did not know a shit). Then all the increases in electrical bills and all that nonsense came along.

But the hardest to take is Ms Bhavani's response to mrbrown's articles which led to the latter being replaced by Today as their columnist. And the response is lagi infuriating. She mentioned that increases in prices are due to increasing petrol prices, and is a global phenomena, and that the Progress Package were put in place to help the families. HELLO?? its PROGRESS PACKAGE can?? Pre-elections, the government (or PAP) said that it was given to share the profits made by Singapore over the past few years (if i got it right), and that it was an encouragement kinda thingy. Post-elections and they say its used for increasing cost of living. WTF?? They might as well increase income tax by 20% tomolo and say that the Progess Package is used to offset the increase.

Really disappointing, and one thing PAP have not realised so far, and they better realise it soon, is that the internet is spreading anti-PAP sentiments at a rate they cannot even imagine. It does work two ways though; if PAP change their attitude soon, pro-PAP information should travel equally fast, but i dun see that happening anytime soon.

Never underestimate the power of the internet.
<img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/11844530-115303644106622379?l=helplah.blogspot.com' So from tuesday nite to thursday nite, i had diarhorrea about 20-25 times each day and vomitted ard 6 times for the first 2 nites. And since the doctor told me not to stop the diarhorrea and have a fluid diet, i effectively fasted for 2-3 days.

Since i have a handball final on saturday, i told myself that i must take anti-diarhorrea pills on friday and force-feed myself despite puking so that i stand any chances of playing at all on Sat. Well it kinda worked since i only puked in the afternoon and managed to have an uninterrupted nite's sleep on friday nite. BUT, i woke up with INFLUENZA, and not those normal colds mind you.

I woke up with clogged nose, ears and sore throat. All those yucky think greenish stuff. Yeah and throw in the usual headaches and fever. SO there was absolutely no way i can ever play in the game now. Whats the chances of having stomach flu, and then influenza continuously? i dunnoe man, but someone up there refuses to let me play at all.

But i still went as a spectator. And it was the first time i see the opponents and boy were they good. So damn damn good, the other 6 players were better than the taiwanese team i saw in SHO. But their keeper was not as good as the taiwanese one. All plays for the australian national team but i am surprised that they play an asian style offensive rather than an european one. But they defend 3-3.

And it was also the first time i seen how a team can be so outplayed and almost won the game. My team had this ONE-MAN-DEMOLITION-MACHINE. Him, together with my good keeper, almost won us the game singlehandedly. But we lost, by 2 goals again. The opponents did 2 underhand-passes-flying-fish, which i have not even seen on videos before.

But i think i must take a bit of fault, coz with 7 mins left, we were level and the right-winger (who is a centre but playing there coz i am sick, but he is in fact a better right winger as well, those crazy europeans) injured his arm and needed some treatment. And a 16 yr old went in. Inexperienced, he went to block an opponent throw-in and got himself a 2 mins, and amazingly went to scold the ref, saying that he have not even been cautioned yet so how can he be 2-minuted? Result => 4-mins suspension, and we lost it by then. If i was the one going in to sub, i would never have made such a mistake and would just do my part defending and wait for my ONE MAN DEMOLITION MACHINE pull us to victory. So it sucks to lose, but we dun really deserve to win as a team anyway.

Feverish now, i really hope my wretched week will not last any much longer.

workers party my ass

been reading the news lately and i saw something that was kinda weird today

WP showed off their 4th batch of new candidates and one of them is an ITE graduate.

Now i am not against ppl who are not very educated. I used to have an uneducated RSM who is probably one of the most responsible person i have ever seen. And I think some of them really have what it takes to be good politicians. But i seriously dun see it in this guy.

Firstly, i think to be a good politician, one should be either very booksmart or very streetsmart. And at 24yrs old (younger than me!) and armed with an ITE degree, i dun see that. Why? Coz no matter how much we promote the ITE system in singapore, we all know that pretty much screwed up kids end up there. Well some of them will wake up their ideas after getting in ITE, but these ppl would normally end up in polys after that, coz they know thats the best way for them to get good jobs and have a better life. If they dun even have such motivation for their daily life, how can u expect them to have the motivation to change people's life? And by not being booksmart, i doubt he will understand half the things that are being debated in parliament, or maybe not understand half the words they use. There is a good reason why u see ppl like Dr Balakrishnan or Lily Neo doing well in politics because these ppl have the knowledge and know-how to understand what is wrong with the society and change it.

Secondly, i think good politicians need to have a composed and calm mind when approaching issues. And having visited certain ITEs before, i seriously think that ITEs are for a bunch of violent ppl. Broken mirrors in every toilet and stabbing cases in ITEs are on a rise. Do we want a politician to start punching another during a heated debate just like those fucking losers in Taiwan? or philipines?

Sorry dude, but i dun think you are good enuff for any seats in parliament, and if i were you, i will try to improve myself before i think about changing others lives.

like what confucius said in the past, "improve thyself, provide good life for family, then protect the country"

Yah talking about politics, the current president Bush have the lowest IQ in the last 50 yrs. And who have the second lowest? HIs father of course! Both gunsmoking low IQ presidents. In case you need to know, the one with the highest IQ is Clinton, with a whopping IQ of 181.

I personally have an IQ of 176 so Clinton is a bit smarter than me. But trust me, I will never be as stupid as to let my sperm drip on my adulteress dress so that my wife can apprehend me. Nor will i ever let someone as ugly looking as monica giving me a blowjob. Isn't that stupid?

Wan Fang sums it up best

new start

took me 2 days to finally realise we are through.

Woke up on a sluggish saturday and told myself that life must go on. Went for my handball game and had a monster game, scoring 5 goals as my team qualified for the grand final next saturday as the runnners up of the group stages. It will be an interesting game. The opponents have 8 players who are in the Australian national team, while my team, are almost fully made up of expats. 1 swiss, 1 german, 1 hungarian, 1 french, 2 serbians, 1 singaporean, 1 portugese, 2 czech, 2 chinaman and 1 aussie. I feels just like me playing in the fed team against the expats back in singapore, but now i belong to the expats instead. We are the underdogs, but i think it will be a crackling game since in the grp stages we only lost out by 2 goals.

Next i wrote some more resumes and sent them out to various starbucks and handphone shops.

I am strong and shall pick myself up from this day onwards.

Its been my biggest pleasure being your boyfren for the last 3 and a half years. Though no longer a couple, i will always be there for you.

Sleepless

This was the last poem i wrote for her birthday

Its funny sometimes how things are planned,
We met despite hours between our land.
You caught my eye sitting at the other end,
saw me, smiled, and my goosebumps stand.

Should i date you and will it be "can"?
Not sure if you want no short short man.
You agreed! Top my level for 5 straight years in pri sch. Mathematica olympiad. Top class in sec sch, captain of both the soccer team and bball team at the same time for my sch. JC was not too well done but mainly due to me enjoying the time more than anything else.

Subsequently went NS as a commando. Worked through the ranks and became a cdo officer. Won a SOM during the process and was the top PC of my battalion when we were recon one.

Went NUS and tackled the challenging double degree and triumped. Met this perfect girl there and made her my gf. Played handball for a few mths and was in IHG, IVP and federation team. Even coached both my hall team and the singapore fed team during the process.

Gained entry to the top uni in australian to do my masters degree. Joined a top pro handball club in sydney and started for them.

Then everything fell apart.

Wanted to lessen my family burden and work part time. Apply everywhere and got rejected. Even McDonald's and KFC were overstaffed and rejected me. Y? i am not even good enough for Mc's and KFC?? Maybe coz i am a foreign student, but still?

Now even my girl left me. Helpless, hopeless, and in a empty shell i dun even think is home. Miles from home and cannot even salvage my relationship. Savings running dry soon and i might even starve in sydney??

Why have it become like this? I dunnoe. I have no answers for it. All i know is i am still trapped here, had to finish my masters in medical science alone. Alone, and not even any emotional pillars left to push me along.

I hate sydney. I hate wat i am doing now. I hate knowing that i am so far from home. But most importantly, i hate knowing that i cannot care for the girl i love most anymore. i hate the lifestyle i am leading now.

hatred

Guess Sydney's favourite song?

Was walking through Central the other day to get home. Right before the railway was an underpass (something like the orchard road ones). There were lots of asians there, selling papers, clothes, flowers etc. Needless to say, those clothes shop tend to on their music very loudly so as to attract the crowd.

As i walked past the first shop, the music i heard was "bu pa bu pa lah....."
Hey! thats a singaporean chinese song lah! Reallly made me felt like i was in Orchard road for a while.

I got onto the railway and waited for my train. A while later, someone, wearing headphones, came and sit beside me. His music was very loud and although i cannot make out wat song it was, by the time it reached the chorus, it went "bu pa bu pa lah". Yeah u might have thought that it was from a radio station but the time between the 2 incidents was 30 mins long. I don't think that song is so long ya?

Today i went to an asian surburb called Eastwood. Went to the chinese supermarket to get song stuff. Suddenly, the speakers went "bu pa bu pa lah".

WAH LAO! 3 times in 2 days and i am hardly outside most of the time. Not only that, i think the song sucks too but apparently it is so popular in Sydney.

Guo Meimei should be so proud

Those aussies cannot count

Ok, 3rd day in sydney. Went to the supermarts to get some groceries. And guess what? Those aussies cannot count lah!

One 330ml coke cost A$2.40. U have to add 20 cents if its chilled. But wait, how about a 1 litre bottle? A$1.85 WTF? A 1 litre bottle cost cheaper than the 330ml one?

Then i went to get some chicken brooth to cook steamed eggs for dinner. Saw 2 cans, one 430ml and the other is 730ml. Just like singapore, i happily took the bigger one coz it should be more worth it. But after i looked closely, the 430ml one cost A$1.75 but the 730ml one cost A$3.80 HELLO? If i multiply the small one by 2, it will cost me A$3.50 for 860ml, which is like cheaper than the 730ml one?? Not to mention i get to keep 2 tin cans rather than one.

It all doesn't make sense. This showed the lack of confidence in the government from the Taiwanese public. In 2004, Ah Bian managed to win the presidential elections by a mere 0.2% after he was shot (himself?) a few days before the elections.

Disclaimer: I think he shot himself but i am not saying he did.

With such disastrous outcome in the municipal elections, the Democrat representative will not be favoured to win the 2008 presidential elections. Ah Bian will be constitutionally barred from running for a 3rd term in office in 2008 but lets discuss what he would have to do if he were given a chance to run for a 3rd term:

1) Shoot himself again. If it works once, it will work again.

2) Accuse Nationalist representative Ma Ying Jiu of sodomy. It worked somewhere, it should work in Taiwan. This is also my favourite move.

3) Get an assasin to kill Ma Ying Jiu. Everyone will think that he is trying to imitate what Ah Bian did in 2004.

4) Sing the National anthem of China.

5) Remove his specs and run under another identity.

I cannot think of anymore. Indecisiveness, a lot of controversies and players displeasure. Their problems started early in the week when the annual AFC awards was held in Kuala Lumpur.

A host of players were shortlisted for the Asian Footballer of the Year award and South Korean forward Park Ji Sung was widely expected to trash his counterparts and snag the award. The incumbent AFC president then irritates everyone by insisting that players not present at the awards will not be eligible for the award, despite clearing knowing that Park had to play for Man Utd in the Carling Cup that night. I can understand why he wants that to be done as there is nothing worse than organizing an award with no one turning up. But does playing for Man Utd in an important game make Park less of an AFC player of the year? Now, this is where I feel AFC had got it wrong. Firstly, if they are to give the award only to all Asian players regardless of where they play their trade, there is virtually no way they can find a date for all players to turn up for the awards since all the leagues in each continent have seasons starting at during times. Even if Man Utd did not have a game on Wednesday night, would Sir Alex Ferguson release Park for a sixteen-hour round trip and a gala night out; and effectively miss training for 2 – 3 days? Remember it is Manchester United who pays Park’s wages and not the AFC. But more importantly, I feel that Park should not even be considered for the award in the first place because I feel that the AFC player of the year should be for players plying their trade in Asia regardless of nationalities. The AFC controls all the leagues in Asia and it only makes sense that the player should be playing in one of their leagues. In addition, the AFC have the rights for all clubs in Asia to release their players for the awards night and no problem will ever suffice. Can you imagine if Park wins both the European player of the Year (UEFA awards them for all players playing in Europe) and the Asian player of the Year in the same year? It’s a bit stupid right? Hence AFC have to be really firm about what they want. If they want only Asian players to win the award, they have to be prepared that certain important players will not be able to turn up for the award since all good Asian players play in Europe. But the best would be to limit the award to all players playing in Asia regardless of nationalities but those green-eyed AFC idiots will never allow the award to be awarded to non-asians.

This is why:

AFC scrapped the Asian coach of the year award because much Asians teams are coached by Europeans! What the fuck? Now if AFC only wants to give the award to only Asian coaches, certainly there are tons of Asian coaches in Asia too. The award should be given to the best Asian coach regardless of their standards. It is just an award to encourage Asian coaches to work harder and if AFC is going to snub them just because they are not as good as their European counterparts, then what motivation do they have to work harder? Moreover, I also feel that this award should be open to those European coaches coaching Asian sides as these Asian sides belong to AFC. Imagine if I am the head coach of Brazil and I had just won the Copa America. I certainly don’t feel that I should win the Asian Coach of the Year award.

Unless those people heading AFC wakes up their ideas, Asian soccer is going nowhere.

Oh, and talking about Asian football, Al Littihad is trying to sign Roy Keane for 10 days to compete in the World Club Championship in Japan. And the fee? One hundred thousand US dollars a day, which comes up to USD 1m for the duration for the tournament. If you don’t think that is stupid enough, they are also trying to make a loan signing for E’to of Barcelona for 10 days to compete in the tournament. Both ideas are clearly stupid unsportsmanlike conducts and you really have to question the IQ of those in charge. There is certainly nothing wrong with signing Keane since he is out of contract now but to sign him for only 10 days? I wonder how Al Littihad players will feel about the issue. And the loan signing of E’to? That is even more stupid and if I were them, I would push it further by signing Steven Gerrard on loan since Liverpool will be one of their opponents in Japan. My advice would be to stop being losers and stick to your own teams.

And that goes out to those hall teams importing players from other halls too. Especially basketballers. Haha

Too stressed?

Today’s entry is on stress. Often is heard, “I am damn stressed up lah. Too much work to do lah!” To most, stress is the state of the mind; stress is self-inflicted and stress can be controlled. Unknown to most, stress is actually fear. Fear is what gives us the feeling of stress. And because it is fear, stress is dangerous.

The most common case found in Singapore is the fear of woman putting on weight. Most bulimic girls are too obsessed with being skinny and the enormous fear of putting on weight creates an incredible amount of stress for them to lose weight. The higher the fear, the larger the stress. And when the amount of stress hits a certain threshold, the body has to make a choice: either to fight or flight. And these people choose flight, simply due to fear. They dare not fight the fear and hence choose the easy way out, which was to keep puking whatever they eat. So it is really pointless to advice such bulimics to eat so that they can have energy to go about their daily chores or to eat since they look hideous being so skinny. The best way to deal with them is to take away their fear, or make them fear something else. Show them that being fat is nothing to fear or let it be known to them that starvation leads to death so that their fear is channeled elsewhere. In fact, most anorexics do not live past 40.

The same applies to people having exams. The fear of failing is what contributes to the stress in us. At small amounts, our body triggers the fight mode and we work harder. But for people too obsessed with good grades, the fear for failing is so high that the body has to cope with the stress via the flight method. These people may start cheating, which is not too bad; but worse, they might just run away from the exams so that he can never fail the paper. Now this is kind of ironic since running away from the paper constitutes to an F but these people do not think of it this way. “If I do not take the paper, I will never fail the paper,” is the mentality of such patients. Worst still, some might even commit suicide. How to cure this? Don’t be too afraid of the paper. How not to be too afraid of it? Study the subject without leaving it to the last moment. This way, there is no fear, and no fear equals no stress which in turn equals no danger. Or you can be like me: I don’t care about my grades at all and hence I am seldom under stress. J

The worst circumstances of stress is to lose your mind totally and committing hideous crimes. There was this woman from UK who loved her husband very much. One day, her husband was out at a pub playing darts. The pub normally closes at 10pm but the game dragged on too long. So around 10pm, she phoned her husband but her husband refused to go home before the game was over. That was a breaking point for her. Her husband’s refusal to comply with her; meant to her that she was losing him. And she just could not let that happen. So after her husband came home, she used a chainsaw to amputate his legs when he was asleep so that he could not go out anymore. The man tried to crawl out of the room and upon realizing that her husband was going to leave her, she killed him. The fear of losing him had resulted in a fatal crime. So to all those jealousy women out there, RELAX, your darling is not going to run away after a night out.

Too much stress is dangerous. The fight or flight mechanism in our body cannot be control by us. But we can control our fear. Stop being overly afraid of things around you so that stress does not accumulate. So the next time you are feeling stress, don’t tell yourself to calm down, but instead tell yourself to stop being afraid.

The biggest invention ever: HIV Test Kit

Fear HIV no more! US based firm Home Access had invented the portable HIV test kit. This test kits takes about 2 minutes to test for both the HIV-1 and HIV-2 viruses. So with this test kit, is it possible to totally eradicate the HIV virus?

The problem is whether ppl are brave enough to bring the test kits out. Imagine yourself in a pub or disco and trying to hook up with this girl. While in the pub, she asked "Your place or mine?", and you go "Can you put some saliva in my HIV test kit first?". A bit funny rite? Therefore this kit is probably not so much for the masses, but rather for people working in the sex industry or people visiting such places since these places are the breeding ground for the HIV virus. Also, its a bit weird if you buy a kit, leave it at home only for your wife to find out about it. Maybe she has one herself. Haha

So what is the best way of preventing HIV? In a liberal society where sex is not longer such taboo issues anymore, a lot of ppl do have different sex partners stemming from different relationships. The best way to prevent aids is to use condoms. All women should understand their rights in a sexual relationship. Whether is it for birth control or prevention of STD, it is the choice of both parties in the usage of condoms. Since there are so many jerks out there who just fuck and dump, women should know how to say no when your sexual partner refuses to use a condom. Maybe they can say things like "If you refuse to use a condom, the only thing u get to fuck tonite is either your left hand or your right hand."

BUT, if you are Andrew Stimpson, you won't need any condoms.

Picture from 'http://www.techwebpress.com

Mr Stimpson, 25, was twice tested positive at a London clinic in August 2002. A test 14 months later appeared to be negative. He is said to be the first man on earth healed from AIDS. The amazing thing is this: after he was tested positive, he stopped having safe sex with his HIV-infected gay partner. One year later, his HIV test became negative. Maybe the two of them had sex so much, the HIV virus got ejeculated out. But more importantly, it shows that there might be a certain type of antibody found in Andrew's body which allows the virus to be destroyed. Hopefully medical researchers will be able to locate the antibody soon and find a vaccine for the deadliest disease in the world.

On one hand, the creation of a portable HIV test kit is probably good in stopping the spread of the virus in sex industries, a vaccine for the virus is definitely the best form of cure for the disease. Till the vaccine comes along, rubber saves lives.

Grim Reaper made a mistake?

Finally started blogging again after a lengthy timeout. Was busy sorting out my life after graduating hence the delay :)

This spooky real life story happened in Malaysia and was narrated by "Xin Sheng Huo Bao" on 12th November 2005.

In a village were 2 men who share the same names. Not only were their chinese names the same, even their malay ones were identical. For 5 years, one of them (X) paid property tax for the other (Y) without even realising it. Realising that his tax was exceptionally high, X checked with the authorities and got to know about Y. They quickly became good frens and spent lots of time together.

One day, X fell very sick and was admitted to the hospital. He was warded for 3 days, sickier with each passing day and Y visited him everyday. On the 3rd day, the doctor told X's family to bring him home, give him the best food that they could afford and be prepared for the worst. At this point of time, X was still drifting in and out of consciousness. The next day, Y visited X, wanted to see off his good fren. To the astonishment of X's family, X suddenly woke up and hardly looked sick anymore. They put that down as "hui guang fan zhao" and were still convinced that X was going to die.

X even had the strength to brew tea for Y and they spent a good afternoon together. After that, Y went home and the moment he stepped into his house, he collapsed and died on the spot. Hence while Y visited X to see him off to the nether world, it was X who went to Y's funeral instead. A case of the grim ripper mixing up their identities?

Now why will such a mistake be made? I think for the chinese, their version of grim reaper are 2 animal-human hybrids, one with a horse face and the other that of an ox. So maybe we all have our names tattooed on our forehead which can only be seen by gods and ghosts. So those 2 blur animals went into the house and saw Y and thought that it was him who was going to die. Then they waited until he finished his final teabreak, followed him home and hooked his soul out.

Maybe it is also because X paid 5 years of property tax for Y and when Y went into the house, X's ancestors felt that it was payback time and tricked those 2 blur animals into picking the wrong guy.

Whatever it was, it is definitely one of the spookiest stories i have ever heard.

A true Champion

This entry is dedicated Lance Armstrong, arguebly the most successful and strong-willed athlete the world had ever seen.

How it began
Lance’s sporting career began in Plano, Texas, where his mother Linda supported his competitive urges from the beginning. He displayed a gift early on when he won the Iron Kids Triathlon at 13 and became a professional when he was only 16 years old. At the near-cost of his high school diploma, he trained with the U.S. Olympic cycling developmental team in Colorado Springs, Colorado, during his senior year. That sealed his destiny and Lance embarked on a career as a bike racer. His rise in the amateur ranks appeared effortless, and Lance qualified for the junior world championships in Moscow in 1989. By 1991 he was the U.S. National Amateur Champion and soon after turned professional. Once in the pro ranks, he quickly proved himself with a USPRO Championship title, stage victories in the Tour de France, a World Championship, multiple victories at the Tour du Pont, a No. 1 world ranking, and a spot on the U.S. Olympic team. Lance entered 1996 as the No. 1 ranked cyclist in the world, competed as a member of the U.S. Cycling Team in the Atlanta Summer Olympic Games, and signed a contract with the French-based Cofidis racing team.

The Cancer Experience
While seemingly at the top of his game, he was literally forced off his bike in excruciating pain. In early October, his doctor gave him the stunning news that he had cancer. And his life changed forever.Tests revealed advanced testicular cancer that had spread to his lungs and his brain. Though his chances for his recovery were far less than 50-50, a frightened yet determined Lance began an aggressive form of chemotherapy. With the advice of specialists, he tried a course of treatment that gave him a chance for a full recovery with less danger of losing lung capacity as a side effect. Remarkably, the chemotherapy began to work, and Lance gradually allowed his thoughts to return to racing. Cancer left him scarred physically and emotionally, but he now maintains it was "… the best thing that ever happened to me," This new perspective allowed him to think beyond cycling and focus on his debt to the cancer community. He formed the Lance Armstrong Foundation within months of his diagnosis to help others with their cancer struggles.

The Comeback
Lance’s complete recovery from cancer seemed miraculous, but actually returning to racing felt unfathomable. Having departed from Cofidis, Lance found himself teamless until the United States Postal Service took a leap of faith and signed him. If he never turned another pedal, the story would be an inspirational one. But it wasn’t enough for Lance. He needed to prove himself in the ranks of the professional elite. His professional comeback, however, got off to a rocky start. Early season racing in 1998 nearly ended his career again when, in a cold and miserable Paris-Nice race, he pulled to the side of the road and quit. Many thought that was the last day on the bike for Lance Armstrong.Lance later admitted that he wasn’t ready to return to racing—he was just learning how to live again, let alone race a bicycle. He retreated to Boone, North Carolina, with friend and longtime coach Chris Carmichael for a week of stress-free riding. It was there that he learned to love the bike again and build up the courage to try again. His first race back on the bike was a reason for celebration as he, appropriately, won the Lance Armstrong Foundation Downtown Criterium in his hometown of Austin, Texas. His new focus on life and training paid off in the form of top-five finishes in the Tour of Spain and the World Championships. 1999 came with a specific goal—the Tour de France. When Lance went to the line at the prologue of the Tour, it was already a victory—both for him and cancer survivors everywhere. But showing up wasn’t enough. He won the prologue stage and rode on to win his first Tour victory with a stunning mixture of power, aggressiveness, and team strategy. It was now official: Lance was an international hero.Lance didn't stop there. He has added six more Tour de France titles to his list, has been awarded virtually every sports honor there is, and has become a symbol of hope and inspiration. He also continues to be a leader and activist on behalf of cancer survivors around the world. The Lance Armstrong Foundation has become among the most influential organizations of its kind and today provides practical information and tools people need to battle cancer and live strong through education, advocacy, public health programs, and research grants.

The Retirement
Lance Armstrong retired at the podium while clinching his seventh consecutive Tour victory. Surrounded by his kids in the podium, "viva le Tour, forever" was his last words and the sporting world bides farewell to the greatest cyclist ever.

The winner on the last day of EPL

The winner is...... MANCHESTER UNITED!!!!!

Dun get me wrong, i am NOT a red devil. However, the biggest winner tonite is argubly Man United. This is why:

Man United: For winning Southampton when there is nothing at stake for them except pride.

Bryan Robson: Former Manchester United Captain. He took over West Brom during Christmas when they are in the bottom position. No teams have ever escape relegation after being in last place during Christmas and they created a bit of history tonite. However, more amazingly, they were in last spot before the last round of game! To escape relegation is truely a miracle and Robbo must be given credit for it. And guess who scored the second goal against Portsmouth to ensure Baggies survival? Its none other than Kieron Richardson, a loan signing from Manchester United. Still on the relegation battle, Norwich had the best chance to avoid relegation but ended up being trashed by Fulham. And the scorer of Fulham's 6th goal? Former Man United striker Andy Cole.

Steve McClaren: Former United assitant manager. Drew 1-1 against in-form Manchester City and took the 7th and last spot for Europe. I guess denying Man City their European place is an United triumph by itself.

Steve Bruce: Former United Captain. His team came up against the invincible Arsenal and came out 2-1 winners. Amazing result, but hey, whenever Heskey scores, his team deserves to win rite?

Mark Hughes: Legendary United Striker. He gave up the Wales job to take over Blackburn while they were battling relegation. He did quite well and managed to keep them up. During the last round of games, they managed to hold Tottenham to a goalless draw.

The Red Devils' blood ran deep during Survival Sunday. I guess that just shows how dominant Man United is in the English Premier League.

cdpro2 and ipod

The link below shows some well made spoofs of Wu Jian Dao and Shaolin Soccer.
I personally like cdpro2 the most.

=== 2005最新鉅獻 For the last 3 years, this is a place where others called hostel while I prefer to call it home. This is the place where I experienced the lowest point of my life when I had my 2 slipped discs. This is the place responsible for my low CAP due to all the hostel activities and suppers. This is also the same cozy place that resulted in me perpetually late for lectures and classes.

However, more importantly, this is the place where I found my true friends and truly understood the meaning of communal living. The trainings during the Dec holidays, the barbeques, the Ranger treatments and all the senseless drinking sessions will be sealed in an envelope and embedded in a corner of my heart. And on the back of the envelope writes:

With love from Wanyuan, Ronghe, Erwin, Huimin, Bobby, Kewei, Alex, Weida, Junhao, Bob, Alvin, Tianpei, Pengkit, Yanling, Yishan, Jacqueline, Jingen, Yiqian and Dianne.

I love you all too. Because of you guys, given a choice, I would never trade the memories for my pair of slipped discs and poor CAP. I know that I am not one to be easily tolerated and I thank you all for all the understanding and for standing by me all this while. Thanks for being part of my life.

All the best to your future endeavors.

P.S. For those who are not in Temasek but made a big difference in my life: My most beloved Karine, Alan Aw, Vicky Campbell and Jeffrey Toh. Its been an honour knowing all of you.

The Biggest Idiot in Singapore

Make a guess. He is ugly, wears yellow trunks and is a male professional eyebrow picker. He is none other than Steven Lim, the full-of-shit sucker who appeared in the auditions of Singapore Idol not so long ago. And his favourite song? What else but "She bangs" by Ricky Martin. Trust me, his rendition of that song makes William Hung sound like Jacky Cheung. Just see the clips below:

Alright, everyone repeat after me, "POSER". And those yellow trunks are the ugliest thing u can ever find on earth. He is either very passionate about his singing, or he is an utter fame-seeker to pull of such a stunt in the Singapore Idol auditions. I think its the latter and i suggest he go join Singapore Idiot instead.

Before we thought that was the last we will see of him, he managed to buy a ticket to some variety show on Channel 8 and completely pisses Mark Lee off. This is how awful the show was:

Confirmed.... he is a psycho. In case u did not see the entire show, wat u did not see in the clip is that towards the end of the show, he TOOK OFF HIS TRUNKS in front of FANN WONG! What the fuck rite? To invite him into the show, I think Mediacorp is out of their mind as well.

BUT WAIT, before u think he is gone after that variety show shit, he did a spoof of the popular Numa Numa internet song. If you had gone to his website, he named it as "Steven Lim Dances to Germany's Disco Hit". HELLO? THAT IS A FREAKING ROMANIAN SONG! NOT A GERMAN SONG! He probably saw my blog and realised how popular the song is.... and if u are reading this now Steven.... YOU ARE THE BIGGEST IDIOT I HAVE EVER SEEN. Anyway.. this is that horrendous spoof.

My god, i don't understand his intention in doing this, but hey, we can't really read the minds of psychos rite? He had just disgraced Singapore and i feel embarassed for anyone with the name Steven or surname Lim.

Go get a life lah

The Best of English Premier League 04/05

John Terry of Chelsea F.C was awarded with the Professional Players’ Association (PFA) Player of the Year last Sunday. Wayne Rooney of Manchester United was awarded the PFA Young Player of the Year. This week, Frank Lampard of Chelsea F.C walked away with the PFA Fans’ Player of the Year.

While these awards seemed justified, the announcement of the Dream Team 04/05 left some of us bewildered with certain players chosen.

This is the Dream Team as announcement by the PFA:

Goalkeeper: Petr Cech. He conceded a mere 13 goals in 34 Premiership games and set an English record of 1025 minutes without conceding a goal. He is also the Czech league record holder with 855 minutes with conceding. He has 25 shut-outs so far in the league, equaling Man Utd’s 94/95 record (not Schmeichel’s record, coz he did not play in every game). The world record for longest streak without conceding a goal is 1265 minutes by a Spanish keeper in La Liga ages ago. Can Cech go one better next season?

Left-back: Ashley Cole. He may be playing quite well but he certainly does not merit this award. The best left-back this season is without doubt Gabriel Heinze of Manchester United. He tackles and crosses the ball so well; I don’t think Ashley Cole even comes close.

Centre-back: Rio Ferdinand. By virtual of his abilities, he definitely warrants a place in this dream team. However, we have to note that he missed a large part of the season due to his suspension for missing a drugs test, and hence had not really contributed much to Manchester United this season. A better choice for this position will be Jamie Carragher from Liverpool. He seems to be getting better each week, full of determination and never fails to put in a challenge during 50-50 situations.

Centre-back: John Terry. Who else? The best player of the season so far. He is destined to captain Chelsea to the EPL title, making the club the 4th winner of the competition in 12 years. He is probably one of the few players that can step into any team in the world and start for them. Lets hope Real Madrid don’t come knocking.

Right-back: Gary Neville. What the fuck is he doing here? This is the same player that got himself sent off 2 weeks ago for half-volleying a ball at some Everton fans. Remember that game at home to Middlesborough where Downing scored? He was simply ball watching and allowed Downing to sneak in behind him. Lauren of Arsenal or Ferreira of Chelsea would have been a better choice for this award.

Left-Wing: Arjen Robben. He is arguably the best left winger in the league now followed by Ryan Giggs. However, he is often injured and did not really contribute to Chelsea’s success and did not merit his place in the dream team. Giggs did not have very good season and should not feature here too. The player I like to be placed in the dream team is Steward Downing. He is probably the best crosser of the ball from the left, even better than both Robben and Giggs. I expect Downing to make it to the World Cup next year as an England starter.

Centre-Midfield: Frank Lampard. PFA Fans’ Player of the Year this year. Lampard continued his good form from last season and is probably the most complete midfielder in England, if not the world. 29 assists and 18 goals from him this season is the reason behind Chelsea’s run in the league cup, EPL and Champions League. I am betting on him being named as one of the 3 candidates for European Player of the Year next year.

Centre-Midfield: Steven Gerrard. His form in the league had not been really good and I don’t really think he deserves a place in the dream team. He had been consistently outplayed by Alonso and Liverpool’s 5th place in the league is a refection of his form this season. The player I feel most deserving of this slot is either Tim Cahill of Everton or Makelele of Chelsea. Since there are already so many Chelsea players, I will go with Cahill here. His running, passing and shooting this season is simply top class and whenever he plays well, Everton does well. He looks to be another Frank Lampard in the making, but only time can tell.

Right-Midfield: Shaun-Wright Phillips. I personally don’t understand this selection. SWP is not a bad player, but he is not that good either. The player most deserving of this place is Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United. Ok, Man United is not really doing very well at the moment but Ronaldo is still their most dangerous weapon. His step-overs might be too flashy but he still makes most of Man Utd goals. His double against Arsenal ended their title hopes and I am looking at Ronaldo being one of the best players in the world in future.

Striker: Andrew Johnson. 20 premiership goals for some fucked up club like Crystal Palace; he certainly deserves his place in the dream team lah. If Crystal Palace manages to stay up (I don’t think so), all the credit will have to go to Johnson.

Striker: Thierry Henry. He has not played his best this season, but his sub-performances are better than any other players in the league. In the recent annual European Dream Team, he is the only player in everyone’s list. That was his 4th European Dream Team selection, and he is also the only player omnipresent in everyone’s list for 4 years running.

Okay, to sum it up, this is my dream team.

Kaopeh’s Dream Team 04/05
Starters: Cech, Heinze, Carragher, Terry (Capt), Lauren, Downing, Lampard, Cahill, Ronaldo, Johnson and Henry.
Reserves: Jaaskelainen, Ferdinand, Makelele, Garcia and Rooney.
Coach: Jose Mourinho

Assistants: Rafael Benitez and Sam Allardyce

Kaopeh’s Top 3 signings of the year: Petr Cech, Gabriel Heinze and Tim Cahill.

The power of Glucosamine and Chondroitin sulphate

Years of vigorous sports activities is bound to have a bad impact in our joints, especially the knees and ankles. Recently, I injured my right knee and I guess it’s due to wear and tear over the years. The injured knee came after past injures on my wrist and spine. After doing some research on the internet, I had found some methods that can control and repair the wear and tear of the joints and subsequently prevent more joint aches in future.

What are Glucosamine and Chondroitin Sulfate?
Glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate are substances found naturally in the body. Glucosamine is a form of amino sugar that is believed to play a role in cartilage formation and repair. Therefore, the cartilage does not wear out as much and our sports life can be prolonged. Chondroitin sulfate is part of a large protein molecule (proteoglycan) that gives cartilage elasticity, and with elasticity comes cushioning and a lesser chance of injuries.

Both glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate are sold as dietary or nutritional supplements. They are extracted from animal tissue: glucosamine from crab, lobster or shrimp shells; and chondroitin sulfate from animal cartilage, such as tracheas or shark cartilage.

Both glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate are usually for arthritic patients to relieve their pain too.

Recommended dosage
Most glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate pills sold in Watsons or Guardian contains 250mg of glucosamine. The recommended dosage for arthritic patients is 1500mg per day, but if we are consuming it for sports purposes, 500mg of glucosamine per day should be sufficient, although you might wanna consume more before and during intensive training periods.

Well I guess a top athlete is one who trains hard for his goals, but at the same time looks after his body to achieve optimum training results. Lets not let injuries stand in our way (like the numerous injuries I had over the years), and start embracing the power of glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate!

Chinese Food Takeaway

This is an absolutely hilarious audio clip made by some bo liao american DJ. One will be built at Marina Bayfront and the other on Sentosa island. They will be ready and operational around 2009, after a proposal is chosen by the end of this year.

We all saw it coming, didn't we? But it should had came much earlier. With Batam, Vietnam, Cambodia and possibly Bali opening up casinos over the next few years, this move might seem to be a bit too slow. Even Macau issued license last year to allow Vegas-based casinos to start operations there. Now, this is the problem with Singaporeans as a whole. We are a 'kiasi' (scared to die) bunch. The idea of opening a casino here was brought up as early as the 1980s, but it was turned down by the government because of some perceive negative social effects it will have on the country. And now, knowing that we are losing our edge in the tourism industry, the gov decided to issue licenses for it. Why do we always have to wait for things to happen before we are forced to move? Why are we always contented with whatever we have and not make any attempts to improve them ahead of time?

The delayed opening of the budget airlines had already shown how slow we are in reacting to global needs. Budget airlines had been in Europe and USA for at least the past decade and we only started ours after Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia had their planes flying all over the region. So we are late, but is it our fault? A lot of people had already identified the potentials of both budget airlines and casinos but are unable to do anything about it because...... our the government has control over every damn thing in the economy. No millionaires could step up and set up a budget airline in Singapore because SIA is so intrinsically linked to the government. So unless they make the call, it is not gonna happen. Yah, and their calls are always too late.

And if u have read the channelnewsasia article:

Mr Lee said the Cabinet's split views reflected the sentiments of Singaporeans. He acknowledged the social fallouts from having casinos and promised safeguards. For instance, there will be a high entrance fee for locals - $100 a day or $2,000 a year. The money will go to the Totalisator Board to be used for charity.

What the fuck? Singaporeans going to local casinos and have to pay before going in? Okay, i can see where they are coming from (all that social shit again), but for $100, we might as well take a plane to KL, take a cab to Genting, and i think we still have spare change to play the slot machines. So many Singaporeans either drive or take the bus to Genting everyday and since most of them contribute to Malaysia's GDP, we might as well make them lose the money locally. Its just like prostitution is illegal in Thailand when Thailand is probably the biggest brothel in the world. By legalising it, the Thai government can tax the prostitutes as well as introduce mandatory aids check, but they chose not to do it. Idiots rite?

A National Council on Gambling will also be set up to address addiction problem and there will be programmes to treat pathological gamblers. The government has also made clear that it will support and fund programmes to increase public education against gambling.

Don't wait till the casino is built before we do it. Singaporeans are spending millions every week gambling on Toto, 4D, soccer, cruise casino and going up to Genting. Are we gonna have more gamblers because we have the casino? I doubt so, because those avid gamblers are already gambling as i am typing this. If we are gonna introduce some council just because we have our own casino, it sounds more like the government is trying to save their own backsides to rid itself of any problems related to gambling. But at the end of the day, its our choice whether to gamble or not right?

Sweet lesson on Love

Installing Love

Tech Support: Yes, how can I help you?

Customer: Well, after much consideration, I've decided to install Love. Can you guide me though the process?

Tech Support: Yes. I can help you. Are you ready to proceed?

Customer: Well, I'm not very technical, but I think I'm ready. What do I do first?

Tech Support: The first step is to open your Heart. Have you located your Heart?

Customer: Yes, but there are several other programs running now. Is it okay to install Love while they are running?

Tech Support: What programs are running?

Customer: Let's see, I have Past Hurt, Low Self-Esteem, Grudge and Resentment running right now.

Tech Support: No problem, Love will gradually erase Past Hurt from your current operating system. It may remain in your permanent memory but it will no longer disrupt other programs. Love will eventually override Low Self-Esteem with a module of its own called High Self-Esteem. However, you have to completely turn off Grudge and Resentment. Those programs prevent Love from being properly installed. Can you turn those off?

Customer: I don't know how to turn them off. Can you tell me how?

Tech Support: With pleasure. Go to your start menu and invoke Forgiveness. Do this as many times as necessary until Grudge and Resentment have been completely erased.

Customer: Okay, done! Love has started installing itself. Is that normal?

Tech Support: Yes, but remember that you have only the base program. You need to begin connecting to other Hearts in order to get the upgrades.

Customer: Oops! I have an error message already. It says, "Error - Program not run on external components." What should I do?

Tech Support: Don't worry. It means that the Love program is set up to run on Internal Hearts, but has not yet been run on your Heart. In non-technical terms, it simply means you have to Love yourself before you can Love others.

Customer: So, what should I do?

Tech Support: Pull down Self-Acceptance; then click on the following files: Forgive-Self; Realize your Worth; and Acknowledge your Limitations.

Customer: Okay, done.

Tech Support: Now, copy them to the "My Heart" directory. The system will overwrite any conflicting files and begin patching faulty programming. Also, you need to delete Verbose Self-Criticism from all directories and empty your Recycle Bin to make sure it is completely gone and never comes back.

Customer: Got it. Hey! My heart is filling up with new files. Smile is playing on my monitor and Peace and Contentment are copying themselves all over My Heart. Is this normal?

Tech Support: Sometimes. For others it takes awhile, but eventually everything gets it at the proper time. So Love is installed and running. One more thing before we hang up. Love is Freeware. Be sure to give it and its various modules to everyone you meet. They will in turn share it with others and return some cool modules back to you.

Customer: Thank you, God.

Kaopeh's guide to Hall stay!

Its this time of the year again where the freshmen-to-be considers hard on whether to stay in a hostel or not, and where to stay should he decide to reside in one. Fear not, all your doubts will be clarified in this entry (Only for NUS ones, i don't know a shit about NTU halls. :P)

Student accomodation can generally be classified into 2, halls and residences. In halls, there are more student activities and committees, while residences are just plain accomodation.

Halls = Temasek, Eusoff, Sheares, King Edward VII, Kent Ridge, Raffles.

Residences = Prince George's Park (PGP), Kuok Foundation House (KFH), Ridge View (RVR)

FEES:
Halls = Around $1450 inclusive of breakfast and dinner.
Residences = No meals included. Around $1080 for non-aircon ones, air-con(in PGP) = $1980

If you are the active type and love activities and sports, you should consider joining a hall. How to know which hall is suitable for you? Jus follow the general guidelines below.

1) If you are a sportsman, join Temasek Hall. They had just won their 14th Inter-hall games overall champions in the last 15 years. Enough said.

2) If you don't do sports but love cheering, go to Sheares Hall. Their supporters are the best lah.

3) If you like dancing, join Eusoff Hall. Their dance production is simply the best amongst the halls.

4) If you are into stage production, join KE VII. They hold theirs' in Victoria Concert hall every year to raise funds for the Children Cancer Foundation.

5) If you like the view of the sea, you can try Sheares hall. The buildings are 8 storeys tall and have a small bit of sea view.

6) If you are a nasi lemak lover, go Kent Ridge hall. The famous Fong Seng nasi lemak store is opened there.

7) If you don't mind paying more for an air-conditioned hall, you can try Raffles. But air-con rooms are limited though.

8) If you really must have air-condition and cannot get Raffles Hall, try PGP. But its kinda boring to stay in a residence lah.

9) If you like building floats, go to Temasek Hall. They had just won NUS Rag n' Flag Day's Best Float Design for the 3rd time in a roll.

10) If you are a lesbian, go to Eusoff Hall. No comments.

Follow there 10 rules and enjoy your hall stay!

Ozone's Dragostea din tei

All you ever need to see for this insanely popular Eurodance hit.

This is the original one by Ozone themselves:

The next video you see below belongs to the geek that single-handedly made this song so popular over the internet:

To understand how popular Gary is, just look at the next video below:

Lastly, we have a lego-land spoof of the song:

Sporting Fights

During a EPL match last Saturday, Kieron Dyer and Lee Bowyer was both sent off for punching each other while playing for Newcastle Football Club (Yes, they are both playing for the SAME club). This comes on the back of some other high-profile sports fights which is absolutely stupid and makes the players involved look extremely childish. These are images on some of the recent fights:

1) Kieron Dyer and Lee Bowyer:

For starting the fight and throwing punches at Dyer, Bowyer was fined about S$500,000 and both were suspended for 3 games. Thats a fucking half-million dollar fine, which works out to be about 6-weeks of wages for him. This just shows how much money these players are getting nowadays. With NUFC having to play Man Utd in the FA cup semis and also the semis of the UEFA cup, their absence may prove to be crucial, and their actions simply showed how irresponsible they were.

2) NBA Brawl, Pistons vs Pacers:

Towards the end of the game, a spectator threw a cup at Ron Artest from the stands and sparked off the biggest fight between spectators and players in the history of the game. 3 players from Indiana, Ron Artest, Jermaine O' Neal and Stephen Jackson and Detroit's Ben Wallace were suspended. Ron Artest was banned for the season, O' Neal and Jackson were given 30 and 25 games respectively while Wallace's shove on Artest which led to the whole incident drew a 6-game ban.

The players are banned without pay, which is effectively a fine, and it amounted to USD 5 million for Artest, USD 4.11 million for O' Neal, USD 1.7 million for Stephen Jackson and USD 400 thousand for Ben Wallace. Their salaries are crazy rite? Just a brawl like this and the players lost enough money to buy a big bungalow in Katong or Marine Parade.

3) The Kung-fu master, Eric Cantona, 25 January 1995 :

The most famous kick in soccer history came from "The King", Eric Cantona of Manchester United. During the FA cup clash against Crystal Palace, Cantona was sent off and on his way out, some mother-fucker shouted something at him ("Can i taste ur boots pls?") and Cantona delivered a karate kick at him. Look at the image, the kick is damn dangerous lah, Cantona could have landed badly and end his career.

Anyway, he was banned a total of 8 months and made to do community service. During his absence, Manchester United lost the EPL title.

Players are paid to do a job on the court or the field. Fightings leading to suspensions will do no good to their clubs and the players are really irresponsible for doing such acts. I say we just sack any player who fights.

Unwritten rules in Mahjong

Ever tried playing mahjong and those experts tell u not to do this or that? Most of these taboo are mostly superstition but its better to believe them than not rite?

1) Never start the game by throwing 4 "west" tiles. This is believed that doing so will cause death to the 4th thrower.

2) Never throw 3 consecutive "west" tiles followed by a "one-tong". This will cause death to all the players as it means "Yi Tong Gui Xi" (go die together).

3) If u manage to win a "13-odd", the owner of the house will have to give u an Angpao to ward off the bad luck, or else you will be very unlucky.

4) If u manage to win a "13-odd" by winning on a "Bai Ban", then not only do u need an Angpao to ward off the bad luck, you will need to go to the temple to pray too, as it is believed to bring death unto you.

5) Starting a game by throwing 4 "north" tiles means the game have to reset. I don't really know the reason of this rule.

6) Having 7 flowers means that whatever you win will be the "limit". If you have 7 flowers and someone else happens to take the 8th one, the game is over and you will win the maximum, all paid by that poor guy who took the last flower.

Cannot think of anymore yet... will update this blog when i think of more.

Pope John Paul II dies, 2 April 2005

Pope John Paul II's Journey From Poland to Rome: A Timeline

April 2 (Bloomberg) -- Pope John Paul II became the spiritual leader of the world's 1 billion Roman Catholics in 1978.
Since then, the pontiff traveled the globe for more than two decades, survived an attempt on his life, became the first pope to send a message over the Internet and wrote five books.

The following is a chronology of events his storied career:

May 18, 1920: Karol Josef Wojtyla was born in Wadowice, an industrial town about 25 miles (40 kilometers)from Krakow, Poland. But the hospital says there is no cause for alarm - the bacteria is not airborne and does not pose a health risk to the community.

Doctors at SGH say that the superbug called Vancomycin Resistant Enterococci (VRE) is a resistant form of bacteria, which is commonly found in the gastrointestinal tract of humans.

So, what is a superbug? It is a bacteria that is resistant to most antibiotics. Every time someone is sick or have a virus infection, antibiotics are used to annihilate the virus and cure the patient. However, not all the bacteria will be destroyed and the stronger ones will survive. Over a long period of time, and through evolution, stronger bacteria will be cultivated and superbugs will be formed. And since the hospital is where most antibiotics are found at work, it is not surprising to find sudden appearance of superbugs mostly in hospitals. In fact, it has been found that at least 80% of all hospitals are at risk of producing deadly superbugs.

Therefore, unless it is absolutely needed, DO NOT GO to hospitals for fun. You never know whether u will get hit by any of those deadly superbugs.

Vibrator Condom unravelled!

Have anyone of u been to 7-11 lately? It is supposed to be placed on your penis and if u notice the pointed part, that is supposed to hit directly on the woman's clitoris.

This is how it should be used: Put it on as shown in the above picture, then press a small button on the vibrator. The vibrator will then vibrate (yes, it comes with batteries included). So when the man penetrates, the pointed part with hit on the girl's clit and vibrates at the same time. It can last for about a few minutes

Conclusion: This product is the gift for all woman as 90% of the time, they do not have orgasm during sex. It also works well for old people who gets tired easily and when they rest while their penis is inside the woman, the woman will be screaming her head off with the vibrator directly on her clit.

Terri is dead

[(Reuters) Terri Schiavo, the brain-damaged Florida woman, died last nite, 13 days after her feeding tube was removed by court order.]

Terri had been in a 'persistent vegetative state' since a cardiac arrest in 1990. She had been surviving on a feeding tube for the last 15 years. Over the years, her husband and guardian, Michael Schiavo had been trying to convince the courts that Terri does not want to live in such a state and that she would rather choose death. Her parents, however, argues that she is trying hard to fight death and that her condition is not beyond cure. Finally, 14 days ago, her doctor removed the tube and Terri died last nite.

Over the last fortnight, protestors were seen outside the hospital trying to make the doctors put back the feeding tube while Terri's parents sought after every legal means to change the doctor's actions.

But why do that? Terri should be allowed to die. If there is no chance of recovery, why dun they let her die peacefully instead of being in a vegetative state for the rest of her life. Imagine you being in a paralysed state (not a vegetative one), with recognition of ur surroundings but unable to move not talk. Dun u feel like dying? Dun u feel frustrated that u cannot even tell anyone that u wanna die? Then u spend every single day looking at the ceiling while the nurse try to wet ur lips every 3 hours. Everytime your loved ones come to visit you, u feel like crying for not being able to hug them nor kiss them and telling them u love them.

But Terri's condition is even worst than that. She cannot even feel a thing for goodness sake. Through modern science, the doctors can prolong her life as long as possible by is that the correct thing to do? Ask anyone around u whether they want to live like that and i am sure the answer is NO. So why is everyone still protesting about the decision then?

This is because those people are damn selfish. They want to use the situation to show that they are "angels" and that they are full of love and that they will fight for anyone's life. They argued that we should not play god and murder the victim. By ain't we playing god if we prolong her life by such artificial ways? So to all those fuckers who had stayed days and nights congregating outside the hospice, stop exploiting the situation to show that u are all saints. Cut that selfish act and dun point the finger at Michael or the doctor. They had done wat was needed.

Terri should die because that is the only humane thing to do. The Pope should die too when he reaches a state like that. Lets not play god by stopping others from dying.

First Post!

My first ever blogsite after reading so many of them over the last few years.
